Katrina… Aye Caramba!

Witzy and I are crying our eyes out watching this story unfold in New Orleans. Can’t imagine the United States without a New Orleans. I am trying to remind myself, cities are made of people and not buildings. Stay safe and strong NOLA.

Of course this was the perfect opportunity for Witzy to chime in with his own “hurricane solution”. “Why don’t they just build a BIG fan and blow it back out to sea!!” Behold a truly inspired genius walks among us.

I am so sad about what has happened to the Gulf Coast and New Orleans. I am offering anythying I can as far as clothing and whatever I can do to help to people displaced from NOLA in Chicago. But on a much larger note, we must stand up as U.S. Citizens to make sure that our government steps up to its capacity. We DO NOT live in a third world country so there is NO EXCUSE for the fact that people in N.O. did not get water and food immediatly! People are dying and that is what matters! I am sickened by the American Government!! If news crews can get in, then our army can get in. If Mr. Bush can manage to deploy troops and equipment to fight a war in Iraq, than he certainly can get some water to people that are dying. It should have happened three days ago!! Everyone must help if we cannot depend on the basic assistance from the current Administration. Too little, too late!!!!!!
